Wow, this is extremely helpful. Thanks!!
-
Nevermind, I got it. It's because it cancels out with impact of claim counts.
-
I got it now, thanks.
-
So I have
P(ced Prem - ced comm - ced L '> 20%CedPrem)
= P(2.5m-0.5m-0.25L>0.5m)
=P(6m>L)
What am I not understanding?

"For instance, starting in Fall 2021 the short answer questions will no longer be in the Excel environment!"
Wow that's a big change. So it'll be in a word document or something of the sort?
-
Also, would the CBT environment restrict graphs completely, similar to the excel files BattleActs provides?
-
You are right. I got it after reading ahead. Thanks.
-
I think I got it. Thanks.

Essentially I am trying to solve 2012 Fall Q 23 using BasicPrem.=(ExpectedPer-occurrenceexcessloss+netins.charge)⋅(c+UWProfit%)+Fixedexp
This is the formula given in the lesson.
-
I don't follow. Is B = b? What is mean by remaining terms? What I was trying to do is go from
b = e - E(c-1)+cI
to
BasicPrem.=(ExpectedPer-occurrenceexcessloss+netins.charge)⋅(c+UWProfit%)+Fixedexp

Very sorry, I mentioned the wrong question. It's from 2015.Fall 15 a.
-
I missed that somehow. I think I got fed up and gave myself a mental block with this chapter lol.
-
I would never have thought of this during an exam. Thanks, I understand now.
-
This helps immensely. Thanks!

Ok, so my assumption would have been that we want D where SP/R - 1 = D (R is retro prem).
I don't see this as an acceptable solution if I look at the CAS solutions. Why is e+ E = (1-D)*SP?
Also, would it be possible to solve the equat…

In order to solve part b, we need to be able to solve part a. I thought this was material from Fisher.OtherLSPlans, but is not listed among the BQs. I tried to solve part a, but have no idea how this is done. You mention that the probabilities ca…

Still not understanding:
"Now calculate the expected excess loss using the chart by adding up the pieces of the bars that exceed the 60% expected loss ratio for the chart but are limited by the 80% loss ratio at maximum premium"…
This makes a lot more sense. Looking at the lesson in a silo without the full scope of the material makes it a lot more difficult.
Thanks!
Thanks, so far, easy to use and seem similar to the layout that would be on the exam.
Ah ok, perhaps it should be moved to battle quiz #4 then. It currently appears in Battle Quiz #1.
I am probably gonna have many questions going forward, so for the purpose of not cluttering future threads, I want to say thanks for all present and future questions!
