Limited Table M to Table M?

edited August 2023 in Fisher.TableL

BattleWiki states ICRLL is a process to modify Table M to approximate the Limited Table M for a given per-occurrence limit (deductible).

However, in the "Applying the ICRLL Procedure" example, it states "ICRLL method is used to transform a Limited Table M into a Table M".

If we are modifying Table M to approximate Limited Table M, shouldn't the ICRLL is used to transform Table M into Limited Table M?

Thanks.

  • Page 84 of the Fisher text outlines how the ICRLL procedure can be thought of in two ways:

    1. Adjusting a Table M to approximate a Limited Table M, or
    2. Describing how to map a Limited Table M down to a Table M.

That is, you can view it each way.

I'd say the first view is probably more common though.
